The Murcia Region supports the tourism sector with grants of up to 200,000€

These grants, from European funds, will be destined for those tourist accommodations built in the Region prior to 2007. The main objective is for the grant recipients to have the necessary resources to improve their energy efficiency.

The aid can be requested online until April 3 on the Region’s website, where the bases of this great call can be found, which has 2 million euros. The funds are intended for investment in renewable energy for heating, air conditioning, thermal envelope, ventilation, hot water, renewable sources in heating and cooling networks, efficient lighting, etc.

These measures must achieve a reduction of non-renewable primary energy consumption of at least 30% compared to the initial situation, justified through the energy efficiency certificate. In addition, they must obtain an improvement of the total energy rating of the infrastructure, achieving at least a letter improvement, which will be measured on the scale of emissions of kilos of carbon dioxide per square meter and year compared to the starting information.

Finally, 70% of the generated construction and demolition waste, classified as non-dangerous, will be prepared to give them a new life thanks to recycling.

David Cámara, a great expert in the Contract sector, adds that “this is very linked to sustainability in the Contract channel and the value contribution that Contract companies can make in this matter.”

These grants are a great opportunity for Contract Murcia Region to work on larger projects and demonstrate talent, professionalism, and, above all, the importance of such a sector.
