Tecni Nova was founded in 1985 by the Muñoz Melero family in Yecla, a city
in the southeast of Spain which has a long tradition in furniture manufacturing. Antonio Muñoz, together with Enriqueta Melero, drew upon their vast knowled- ge in the furniture industry to create a new company whose primary aim was to produce sofas and armchairs. By using quality materials, excellent workmans- hip and an eye for detail the company quickly gained a reputation as a market leader within the Spanish market. The catalogue was expanded to incorporate a wide range of products, including furniture, lighting and many other items nee- ded to compliment your home. It was decided early on in the companies’ history, in 1990, to access the international markets and Juan Carlos Muñoz took on this responsibility. Today, the company sells its products in over 40 countries. In 2010, Juan Carlos Muñoz became the CEO and in 2012, drawing on his

experience as an architect, his brother Miguel Angel Muñoz became head of art and design.

The 15,000m2 Tecni Nova factory together with the 2,000m2 main showroom are based in Yecla.
